Civil Engineer with a PhD in transport engineering at the Ecole Polytechnique in Lausanne. He currently holds the role of Partner in PwC where he is Global Railways & Roads Leader. He coordinates the execution and management of projects in the transport sector, infrastructure, logistics and the impacts on the economy, the environment and the territory.

He has over 25 years of experience in strategic planning of infrastructure and transport systems, at local, regional, national and international scale and has been particularly involved in the regulation of the transport sector, feasibility studies of infrastructure projects, transport planning, as well as the enhancement, optimization and digitalization of transport and logistics services. He has written over thirty publications on these topics.

He has gained extensive work experience in the international arena, having participated in numerous projects for the European Commission, the European Parliament, World Bank, EBRD, the European Association of Motorway Operators (ASECAP) and the International Union of Railways (UIC), as well as for numerous logistics and mobility operators, regulatory agencies and other stakeholders of the sector. He carries out for such sectors analyses of transport policies, evaluations of infrastructures and transport plans, as well as projects for the development of innovation and efficiency of the mobility system.

He has an in-depth knowledge of the Community directives in the sector, and has repeatedly assisted the European Commission for the assessment of their impacts, as well as for supporting the development of the European TEN-T corridors.
