In 2022, the EU has started the revision of the European legislation for the capacity management. This would be a great opportunity for the sector to tackle several issues that is struggling with, for instance the timely and stable planning of temporary capacity restrictions, uncompetitive advance ticketing and need for more dynamic and harmonised capacity allocation especially for freight.
